Personnel of the Palompon Municipal Police Station arrested a wanted person who was applying for police clearance last June 28.
The suspect was identified as Jose Naul, 32, with live-in partner, a pedicab driver, and a resident of Brgy. Cantuhaon, Palompon, Leyte.
Based on the report, Naul was applying for a police clearance but upon verification, police records showed that he has a standing Warrant of Arrest for Frustrated Homicide issued by Hon. Eprhem Suarez Abasdo, Executive Judge, RTC, Branch 18, Hilongos, Leyte dated March 18, 2015 with a bail bond fixed at P60, 000.00.
Immediately, Naul was arrested and underwent statutory documentation and disposition.
The National Police Clearance System is a comprehensive, fast, convenient, and reliable system for the issuance of police clearances nationwide. The document it will issue will serve as background check by the police and will contain the criminal and derogatory records of the holder, if any.
PRO-8 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Bernard M. Banac commended the quick action of the Palompon MPS personnel. “With our National Police Clearance system, tracking down wanted personalities nationwide was made a lot easier. It is a vital tool in the campaign against most wanted persons.” He also emphasized that the PRO is doubling its efforts to arrest those persons in conflict with the law.
