Security guard yields shabu at buy-bust

Three (3) sachets containing suspected shabu were recovered from a security guard during a joint buy-bust operation 5AM February 1 at Upper Dapdap, Brgy. Agpangi, Naval Biliran.


The said operation was launched by operatives from the Biliran Provincial Police Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (Biliran PPO-PDEU) and the Station Drug Enforcement Team.


Biliran PDEU Chief Police Major Michael John Astorga identified the suspect as Robelito Sereño y Borrinaga, 44, with live-in partner, a security guard and a resident of Brgy. Catmon, Naval, Biliran.


Recovered from the suspect was one (1) sachet containing suspected shabu procured by an operative for P500.00. During the body search witnessed by barangay officials, representative from the Department of Justice and media, the searching cop recovered a folded paper that yielded another two (2) sachets of suspected shabu estimated to weigh 0.05g with a street value of P3500.00.


Also recovered was a P500.00 bill bearing serial number DX 067996 prescribed by court for the said operation.


The suspect was in tears as he denied owning the illegal drugs recovered from him.

He was temporarily detained at the Naval Municipal Police Station while charges to violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being readied against him.
