The Police Regional Office (PRO-8), under the leadership of Regional Director Police Brig. Gen Bernard M. Banac, kicked off the “PRO-8 Waraynon Warriors Palakasan 2022” on June 14, 2022 with an opening ceremony at the PRO Grandstand, Camp Kangleon, Palo, Leyte.
The said Palakasan 2022 is a sports competition with selected PNP personnel who will compete in the field of basketball, volleyball, badminton, lawn tennis, table tennis, chess, boxing and shooting. This sports competition will promote camaraderie and sportsmanship within the ranks and encourage them to adopt a physically-active and healthy lifestyle. This, in turn, will boost them to carry on their duties and responsibilities.
National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM-8) Regional Director Atty. Maximo T. Lacasa I, CESO V, graced the opening ceremonies with RD Banac and enjoined all personnel who will be competing for the 2-months long Palakasan 2022.
"May this activity bring you closer to each other as co-public servants and may this develop your sportsmanship. Though we are having this sports competition, let us still prioritize our duties and responsibilities," RD Banac said.
