Tabunok, Isabel, Leyte.

PDEA Regional Director Edgar T. Jubay identified the suspects as Panfilo Concillado y Meramonte, alias Pamping, 49, with live-in partner, jobless, the drug den maintainer, and a resident of Sitio Tulay, Marvel, Isabel, Leyte; Joy Malinao, 18, with live-in partner, jobless, the co-maintainer of the drug den, and a resident of Tabunok, Isabel, Leyte; and visitors Arnold Paculted, 33, single, a habal-habal driver, and Jonathan Mindigo, alias Atan, 54, with live-in partner, jobless. Both visitors were residents of Tabunok.

Target of the operation was Concillado, the drug den maintainer, who was also an ex-convict after being arrested for the same offense in 2016. He was granted liberty after he completed his parole term when his application for plea bargaining agreement for a lower offense was accepted by court.

Recovered from Concillado was one (1) sachet containing suspected shabu procured by an agent for P1000.00. During the body search witnessed by Brgy. Chairman Hon. Prisko A. Ayud, Brgy. Kagawad Pedencio Albarico, and media representative Rolando A. Villacora, Concillado yielded another three (3) large sachets containing same suspected shabu estimated to weigh ten (10) grams and could value P68,000.00.

Also recovered was one (1) P1000.00 bill bearing serial number KY289794 prescribed by court for the said operation, seven (7) folded tin foils, three (3) rolled tin foils, and three (3) lighters color green and purple.

The other suspects yielded no evidences except for the cellphones.

The suspect denied ownership of the confiscated evidences while the other arrested said they’re just visiting Concillado early that morning.

Charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) are being pressed by the arresting authorities against the suspects who were temporarily detained at the PDEA custodial facility in Palo, Leyte.
