Ormoc’s Most Wanted killed in shootout

The No. 4 Most Wanted Person in Ormoc City was killed during an alleged shootout with local operatives during the serving of a Warrant of Arrest around 6PM February 10 at Purok Adelfa, Brgy. Bilwang, Isabel, Leyte.


Isabel Chief-of-Police (COP) Police Major Edgar De Asis identified the casualty as Jimmy Delalamon y Baguio, 61, a scrap buyer and a resident of the aforementioned barangay.


The supposed arrest of the accused was based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Mario O. Quinit, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 12, Ormoc City dated September 10, 2021 for the crime of Rape docketed under criminal case no. R-ORM-21-00371-HC with no bail recommended.


Serving operatives disclosed that during the serving of the warrant, the accused suddenly drew his cal.45 pistol and fired at the operating unit. The operating unit, with other recourse, retaliate and opened fire at the suspect that resulted to the latter’s instantaneous death.


SOCO personnel coming from the Ormoc City Police Forensic Office that processed the crime scene recovered five (5) empty shells of 9mm caliber, one (1) .45 pistol caliber pistol, and two (2) cellular phones.


The cadaver of the accused was then brought to a local funeral parlor.
