Two (2) plastic sachets containing suspected shabu were recovered from a high valued target during a joint buy-bust operation around 3:30PM June 2 at Brgy. Maglipay, Sulat, Eastern Samar.

The said operation is jointly launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Eastern Samar and the local Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET).

PDEA-8 Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi identified the suspect as Rolando Napal, 38, jobless, with live-in partner and a resident of Brgy. 7, Giporlos, Eastern Samar. The suspect was tagged by the PDEA as a high valued target (HVT) and marked as Top 6 most wanted in the Province of Eastern Samar.

Recovered by the suspect was one (1) sachet containing suspected shabu procured by an agent for P500.00. During the body search witnessed by Brgy. Maglipay Chairman, Hon. Noel A. Cebricus, the searcher recovered a small brown-orange pouch that yielded another sachet containing same suspected shabu and cash money of different denomination worth P596.00 which included a P500.00 bill bearing serial number EF 116277 prescribed by court for the said operation. Also recovered was one (1) black RealMe cellphone with red casing.

The suspect denied owning the evidences recovered from him but the PDEA disclosed that the information about his illegal activities were reported to the Isumbong Mo Kay Wilkins (IMKW). They’ve conducted series of surveillances on the suspect and immediately launched the buy-bust operation when they confirmed the reports of the suspect’s involvement in the illegal drug trade.
