Robert C. Dejon | April 25, 2022

Local police are puzzled over the death of a funeral parlor driver who was found dead floating at the seawaters of Brgy. Busali, Biliran, Biliran around 9:50AM, May 25.

The victim was identified as Francis Anonas Arcelao, of legal age, married, driver of Sta. Lucia Funeral located at Biliran, Biliran and a resident of Iba, Zambales.

The police said they received report from concerned citizens of a floating body found by fishermen in the seawaters of the said barangay. The police immediately responded and requested the local Bantay Dagat to retrieve the body and brought it to shore for identity.

When the body was retrieved, the locals identified the victim to be the driver of the funeral parlor, him being known in the area.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was last seen in the evening of May 24 along the seaport of Biliran with his slippers slipped in his wrist. The victim was later learned to be facing a serious personal problem. Residents also confirmed that the victim was walking aimlessly during that night at the seaport.

The police suspected the victim jumped from the port that resulted to his drowning and was then found floating lifeless the next day.
